The French government, through the Comité d’accueil aux étudiants étrangers (Welcoming Committee for Foreign Students) under the Ministère des Affaires Etrangères (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and the Ministère de L’éducation Nacionales (Ministry of National Education) granted him a scholarship to continue his studies at the School of Fine Arts. He also attended the Académie de la Grande Chaumière.
J.E. Ehrhard, the Director of the Welcoming Committee, states in a document dated 19 August 1947 that:

Mr. Nadal Ferreres, a talented young painter, seems to have benefited greatly from his stay in France, according to statements from Mr. Dorival, curator of the Museum of Modern Art and Mr. Mazo, professor at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière…
